Parenthood
With the vast array of “How To” books, podcasts, and social media posts and not to mention well-meaning friends and family offering advice about parenting you’d think that parents would feel confident, secure, and at ease in their identity as a parent. However, being a parent has a tremendous impact on every aspect of your life and comes with so many unknowns, learning curves, set-backs and triumphs, new discoveries, and incredibly emotional experiences. Every child has their own unique needs and each parent has their own individual desires and requirements which means that one book or podcast or piece of advice will NOT work for all parents.
Instead, let’s find your distinct and authentic self as a parent. Learn to trust your instincts, build your capacity to be with the challenges of parenthood, and identify your values and use them to guide you in parenting.
Along with helping parents in embracing their genuine experience as a parent, I also support new and expecting parents, Single Mothers By Choice or Solo Mothers, and parents who have experienced perinatal loss.
